ThermiVa^™

ThermiVa^™ is a state-of-the-art treatment that harnesses the energy of radiofrequency waves to improve functional and cosmetic vaginal concerns. Irritation, dryness, and even mild cases of enlarged labial/vaginal tissue and orgasmic dysfunction can be addressed with this procedure. ThermiVa^™ does not require shots or surgery and generally takes about 15-30 minutes to complete. Most patients do not require recovery time and can continue normal daily routines immediately after treatment. A series of three treatments is often recommended for the best results. ThermiVa^™ is helpful to women who have received chemotherapy. Many of our breast cancer patients may find vaginal dryness or atrophic vaginitis to be quite uncomfortable. ThermiVa^™ may assist with this side effect of cancer treatments by its neovascularization (bringing new blood vessels to the treated area and improving the blood flow to these tissues).

Three ThermiVa^™ treatments are usually necessary to achieve the best possible results and the effects often last between 9-12 months. Results can typically be maintained with “maintenance” treatments every 6 months to one year after the initial set of three treatments.
